Corning could really make a bunch with this.
This is really interesting.
I wonder how far along they are
with this.
Corning has released the long awaited follow up to their 2011 viral video,
"A Day Made of Glass." This new video features more of the company's vision of the (near) future,
as powered by glass displays and touch sensitive surfaces.
Telepresence Options readers should particularly enjoy the collaborative telepresence session
(shown above) depicted at about 3:15 into the video.
Corning presents a pretty compelling visualization of an ideal meeting experience.
Our readers should also note the use of superimposed augmented reality
(as defined in our coverage of the DVE 3D CreateSpace) at 4:55 into the video.
it would be perfect. Also, the medical applications can be fascinating.

To no surprise, this follow-up video has a much stronger focus on the use of tablets than the 2011 video.
In fact, Corning presents a completely tablet centric world.
Everyone carries a personal tablet, which is then used to power other larger displays
(wall displays, closet door-mirrors, car dashboards, etc.).
The actors in the video appear to smoothly pass information between tablets and other devices with that
slick swiping move we have all come to love over the
last few years.
